Brendan Boston is a New York City based theatre designer originally from Chicago.
His designs are grounded in a rigorous process, often inspired by a source text and collaboration with other artists. Collages of color and texture are inherent parts of his design process, and the qualities expressed in materials and construction details support his overall design. He believes that being a designer is to be part of a larger conversation communicating ideas of a society to a modern audience.
Brendan earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Theatre School at DePaul University and his Master of Fine Arts from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He has gone on to work at numerous theatre and opera companies around the world.
